Todo

AnySoul’s Todo concept is inspired by plan-first workflows in tools like Cursor and Claude Code.

Humans manage tasks through explicit or implicit plans: paper notes, Notion pages, checklists, or mental sequencing.

AnySoul adopts this style for one reason:

It works better for long-horizon LLM execution.

This is especially true for research-heavy and decomposition-heavy work.

Todo in AnySoul is not about pretending agents are human.

It is about giving agents a reliable structure to:

  • break down goals,
  • track intermediate progress,
  • and resume work across time.

AnySoul means any soul you can imagine: an agent is tethered to you but not fully synchronous.

Like a colleague in a study room or on a distributed team:

  • it keeps learning and working,
  • it may not instantly respond to every ping,
  • it can contact you later when progress or issues matter.

Todo is the coordination surface that makes this relationship operable.
